Physical Pharmacy and Drug Regulation

Type of Partnership: Shared Masters Degree

This shared master aims at educating a new generation of pharmaceutical scientists who will address some rapidly changing technological issues in the pharmaceutical industry, with a good understanding of both European and American regulatory environments. Already existing courses are provided by both institutions in each master by video, tele and audio-conference. Joint courses are also delivered via internet. Students from both sides have also been exchanged at the master level for a six months training. This partnership has become a real joint program by having in common a certain number of credits validated on both universities.

Type of Partnership: Dual MS Degree

This partnership allows Master’s students participanting in it to earn two degrees: a Master’s of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from GIT and the Diplome National de Master Nano et Micro Technologie from USTL. This program has two parts: a three semester academic program taking place in Atlanta, Metz and Lille and a 6-9 months internship in the US and Europe. This partnership is based on preexisting courses and benefits from the existing infrastructure of distance learning. About 20% of the courses are delivered by distance learning thanks to the extensive distance learning network existing at Georgia Tech.

Type of Partnership: Double Master (Master 2 level)

Since the beginning of their collaboration in the area of research in 2005, both universities have launched this dual Master’s program which allows students to complete approximately one half of their courseload at each institution and obtain a master’s degree from each. The strength of the collaboration lies in the clear complementarity between the universities. Nebraska has a comparative advantage in Mechanics and Rouen in Materials. Faculties teach on site but also use distance learning methods. Native graduate assistants are employed in order help the students overcome the language barrier.

This project consists in a natural resources and environmental management certificate program. The program is based on new courses dealing with interdisciplinary, holistic problems on the local and global scales. Joint teams of French and US students work on cases using videoconferencing and other electronic means. Students are offered internships and/or research experiences abroad as part of this partnership.

In order to train French and US professionals with strong analytic skills, the students accomplish a 12-months program divided in one semester at IAE and the other at NCSU. They are provided theoretical courses, workshops and conferences jointly offered by IAE and NCSU professors. Exchanged students also work on practical projects, case studies and internships sponsored by corporate innovation and technology partners in France and the U.S. In addition to the student immersion, exchanges of faculty and administrative staff ensure bicultural integration throughout the program.

This partnership provides a joint cross-disciplinary graduate program at the interface of Art History, Visual Studies and Economics in order to train a new kind of bi-cultural experts in Art Markets and Visual Studies. Each institution hosts students from the other partner institution. Both coursework and credit at the host institution are transferred to the home institution. Two faculty from each side are exchanged each year for short time visit to assess the development of the partnership.

Type of Partnership: Collaborative Graduate Program

This annual exchange program has allowed each side to benefit from the field of excellence of the other: third-year scriptwriting students from La Femis and third-year film students from Columbia. French students at Columbia University write a full-length feature script in a workshop with other Columbia students and take classes in American film production. As for American students, they direct a short fiction film and take part in all the stages of film making. Fourth year production students have also made an internship with distributors during the Cannes Film Festival.
